The Wheatland Kings are proud to announce the signing of 2008-born forward Tripp McArthur for the 2026–27 Heritage Junior Hockey League season.
A native of Strathmore, Alberta, McArthur is a product of the Wheatland Athletics U18AA program and represents another local player to progress through the Wheatland hockey system and earn an opportunity at the junior level.
McArthur is no stranger to the Kings organization, having previously suited up as an Affiliate Player. His time with the Kings provided valuable experience at the junior level and allowed him to become familiar with the pace, physicality and expectations of junior hockey.
Now, McArthur will make the jump to the Kings full-time as he continues his development and looks to establish himself at the Junior B level.
For the Kings, the signing continues the organization’s commitment to developing players within the local hockey community and creating a pathway from minor hockey into junior hockey.
Having grown up in Strathmore and come through the Wheatland program, McArthur’s signing is another exciting example of local talent earning an opportunity to wear the Kings jersey.
The Wheatland Kings are excited to welcome Tripp McArthur to the full-time roster and look forward to watching his development throughout the 2026–27 season.
