The Agra Risk Wheatland Kings hit the ice for the first time this season at the Chestermere Regional Community Association rink. This skate is one of six that will take place before the first game of the season, and one of two in Chestermere. The remaining four skates will take place in Strathmore at the Wheatland King’s home rink. If you’d like to sign up for one of these skates. It’s at this point of the year that the roster for the upcoming season can begin to take shape. The coaches are watching whilst all the players are running drills, trying to make themselves seen. These skates also give the players a chance to shake off the summer rust. Working on their shooting, passing, playmaking, skating, and for the goalies, their saves and flexibility.
The home opener is just under a month away, September 19th. The Wheatland Kings will host the Ponoka Stampeders. The first of a four game season series.
Season tickets are available for $120 before August 15th, and $160 after that date. These can be purchased at the Mainstreet Market in Strathmore.
