Hockey season is back, and we’re kicking things off in style! Before the Agra Risk Wheatland Kings hit the ice for the 2025–26 home opener, we’re inviting the entire community to join us for the Third Annual Home Opener Tailgate Party, proudly presented by Origins Malting & Brewing.
This family-friendly celebration has quickly become a fan favorite, bringing together music, food, games, and—of course—locally brewed craft beer.
Here’s what you can expect:
Live Music: Local talent Mike Smith will be taking the stage, setting the tone for an unforgettable night. Special appearances will also be made by our very own Kings anthemist, Maia Beekman, whose voice has become a staple at our games.
Delicious BBQ: The team at Baldwin BBQ will be serving up mouthwatering eats hot off the grill.
Games & Fun: From family-friendly activities to tailgate classics, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Locally Grown Beer: Thanks to Origins Malting & Brewing, fans can raise a glass of craft beer brewed right here in Wheatland County.
The tailgate runs from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, leading right into puck drop for our home opener at 8:00 pm.
This event is more than just a party—it’s a chance for our community to come together, celebrate local talent, and rally behind the Kings as we launch a brand-new season.
